Yuan YUAN
Yuan Yuan is a Chinese designer who lives and works in Paris. In 2005, she graduated with a Master's degree in Environmental Art and Design from Jiangnan University in China. She moved to France in 2006 and successively obtained a DNAP at Beaux-Arts in Marseille in 2008, then a DNSEP at the School of Art and Design in Reims in 2010. She studied culinary design at Marc Brétillot, international figure in this field. She made her first professional experiences in France in the agency of Patrick Jouin and the Louis Vuitton company in Paris. Since its inception and until today, it has kept in mind its values of commitment to the environment, culture of well-being and the art of living. She often draws on traditional crafts and techniques to conduct her research and extend them into contemporary uses. As an object designer, her ongoing quest is the right balance between beauty, high quality in design and simplicity. In 2014, she created Yuan Yuan Design Studio in Paris, where she did product design and culinary design, design applied to food and how to eat. In culinary design, food becomes material and serves a concept, a story to tell through a gourmet scenography that awakens the senses. The approach of his work is centered on the experimentation of the edible matter, the conception of new ways of eating and the objects that are associated with it.
