How to co-design DIY Healthcare solution with users - Made4You project

One of the most interesting areas a Fab Lab can explore is assistive technology. It is also a perfect example of products that could (and very often should) be produced locally, customized, with the user. For the last three years, we co-designed solution with people with disabilities and their caregivers, with doctors and therapists, and we developed several solutions that were not available on the market. We brought this experience into the European project "Made4You" that aims to develop a platform to collect and share DIY solutions for healthcare. During the next three years, three Fab Labs (in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Milan) will organize meetups, open-days, calls for ideas, to support local co-design groups.
To enable solutions developed locally to have an impact, Made4You focuses on how to support makers in the documentation process.
During the talk, we will share some insights on how to co-design effectively, document painlessly and organize local co-design events.
