Open-source communities has proven to be a very effective way to innovate and gain adoption in a short time. But building and sustaining open-source communities is not easy. How do we build momentum? Ensure quality? And create ownership for the community to self-sustain?

The Danish Design Center and Growstack.org invite you to take part in developing design principles for open source community-based innovation. At the workshop we invite everyone to share knowledge and best practice when we facilitate a hands-on session, where we co-create a set of principles for community-based innovation by asking how to:
  • Mobilize and lead a community
  • Ensure quality in a community-based project
  • Assign responsibilities and roles in the community
  • Align a disrtributed crowd towards a common mission
  • Ensure the right infrastructure for the community
  • Empower the co-creators to take ownership
The workshop is for everyone working with- or interested in open-source communities, who wants to share and gain knowledge. The outcome should be applicable for communities working across disciplines and industries, paving the way for successful open-source innovation.
